Firefly Wedding Manga

Firefly Wedding, known in Japanese as Hotaru no Yomeiri, is a historical romance manga created by Oreco Tachibana.

The story is set during Japan’s Meiji era and centers on Satoko Kirigaya, the daughter of a respected noble family.

Although Satoko appears to have beauty, status and privilege, she lives with a serious heart condition that may drastically shorten her life. Because of this, she becomes determined to accomplish one important goal while she still can: enter a marriage that will benefit her family and prove her value.

Before Satoko can achieve that goal, she is kidnapped and finds herself targeted by the mysterious assassin Shinpei Goto.

With her life in immediate danger, Satoko makes a desperate proposal. She tells Shinpei that she wants to marry him.

For Satoko, the engagement begins as a calculated lie designed to keep herself alive. For Shinpei, however, the proposal becomes something much more serious.

Shinpei is dangerous, unpredictable and capable of extreme violence, but he also develops an intense attachment to Satoko. His devotion creates a complicated relationship in which love, fear, manipulation and genuine affection become increasingly difficult to separate.

As Satoko tries to survive and eventually escape her situation, she begins to understand Shinpei more deeply. What started as a false marriage proposal gradually evolves into a powerful emotional connection.

Their relationship becomes the heart of a story filled with historical drama, assassins, crime, jealousy, family expectations, psychological tension and dangerous romance.

Firefly Wedding is especially appealing to readers searching for historical romance manga, assassin romance manga, dark romance manga, psychological romance, marriage-of-convenience stories, obsessive love manga and emotionally intense romance series.
